God Save the Rave

Motion Graphics Passion Project

This passion project is a tribute to the legendary 1990s Hacienda raves in Manchester—an era I grew up hearing about through stories from my parents, who experienced it firsthand as teenagers. Born in Manchester and raised on dance music, I’ve always felt a connection to the culture and energy of that scene.

I designed a series of animated event posters that reimagine the bold, kinetic spirit of rave flyers from that time. Through motion, color, and type, I set out to capture the electric nostalgia of a movement that shaped music, design, and youth culture.
